Michigan Recumbent Events

 

May 13, 2017 - (Saturday) Michigan Recumbent Rally East - Jacks Bicycle & Fitness - Industrial Bicycles, 24308 Michigan Ave. (map link at http://goo.gl/maps/mxl8K), Dearborn, MI, 10am-2pm.  A special emphasis will be on recumbent trikes (some being very-high performance) of which Jacks is one of the largest recumbent trike dealers in the nation.   • Recumbent bicycle test rides, where instead of a narrow saddle, the rider sits in a chair-like seat

  • Noon group ride (ride maps provided) on the nearby Lower Rouge non-motorized path.

  • Recumbent bike displays, including trikes and tandems

  • “Buying Your First Recumbent” talk at 11am & 1pm

  • Lots of recumbent owners to talk to

  • Display your “for sale” recumbent

  • Recumbent literature and handouts

June 3, 2017 (Saturday) - Ann Arbor Recumbent Rendezvous - On Saturday, June 3rd, the Michigan Recumbent Rendezvous will be held in Ann Arbor at Midwest Bike and Tandem, 1691 Plymouth Road (map link - https://goo.gl/maps/WFqMU6i524r). The event will start at 9am with a 20 mile group ride around bike-friendly Ann Arbor arriving back at the bike shop by 11am. June 24-25, 2017 (Saturday & Sunday) - Michigan Human Powered Vehicle Rally - The 33rd annual Michigan Human Powered Vehicle Rally will be at the Waterford Oakland County Sportsmen's Club grounds near Pontiac, Michigan (map at https://goo.gl/maps/G2dC3C5YioJ2). This is the oldest racing event for HPVs – open to any pedal-powered vehicle – in North America. All the details as to the individual events, schedule and entry fee will be posted once they are decided, but expect the rally to be similar to past years..
